Burkina Faso’s BIR-10 Neutralizes 10 Terrorists, Seizes Weapons In Barani Operation

The 10th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR-10) of Burkina Faso has neutralized 10 terrorists and seized a cache of weapons and equipment during a counter-terrorism operation in the village of Boule, Barani Commune, Boucle du Mouhoun region.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out in Dec. 15.

Items recovered during the operation include:Five motorcycles and the destruction of three others,One G3 rifle and two carbines,27 mobile phones,Three TYT radio devices, seven TYT radio batteries, and five TYT radio chargers, Three 5-litre jerry cans of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) materials and one 20-litre jerry can of diesel fuel, Sleeping materials, four bags of sesame, one bag of millet, cooking utensils, and Qur’anic books.

The sources said No casualties were recorded on the side of the Armed Forces of Burkina Faso (AMI).
