Anambra Community Assures Soludo’s 2nd Tenure, Demands 3rd Tenure For Him

The People of Nando community, Anambra East Local Government area, Anambra State, have assured 100 per cent votes for Governor Chukwuma Soludo come November 8 governorship election this year following his numerous achievements in the state.

Giving the assurance during the burial of one of their sons, late Engr. Chukwudozie J. Odife, aged 48, the community, speaking through her President General (PG), Chief Christopher Nkechukwukwuru Nwakor, said that the governor’s achievements would speak for him during the gubernatorial election.

“We are giving him three over three per cent votes because in Nando community we have three wards and that is the three over three per cent votes for Soludo. He is building world class Government House. Voting to elect him come November 8 gubernatorial election is just for formality instead of saying there is no election.

“We nicknamed Soludo ‘Oluatuegwu,’ (fearless on work), and if 3rd tenure is possible we will vote for him again. He built five general hospitals in Anambra North senatorial zone, if it were some people they will build them in their zones, Soludo is from South but he built them in the North.

“Here in our community there is this pipe borne water that has not been functional for years but immediately Soludo came on board the water started running. We have a major road here of which we are constructing its culvert that is big and it has consumed a whopping sum of money to the extent that we are looking for financial support to complete it,” he said.

On the untimely death of Odife, he urged the bereaved family to take heart and prayed God for the repose of the soul of the deceased, describing him as a gentle man to the core.

“God knows everything, our late brother and son, Odife, was a good man but we can’t question God. It wasn’t long that the family buried her mother. They should unite more and ensure peace and let God to come in and remove what brings sorrow to them,” he affirmed.

In her tribute, wife to the deceased , lamented that the death to her was so unexpected that she lacked words due to shock she received having been assured by the late husband that he was on his way returning to Enugu when the vehicle he was in, had a burst tyre and summersaulted, killing only him out of five on board.

Speaking, Chief Ejike Odife, sibling to the deceased, and Ogbaru coordinator, Ocha Brigade, recalled that his late elder brother was called ‘Dube,’ by his admirers because of his peace loving nature, adding that since his exit, he , Ejike, was in despair adding that his late brother was a treasure he so much hoped upon.

“I don’t need to question God over your exit, I know it was not your resolve to leave us so early, death took us unaware, you Left us with tears, it broke our heart to lost you. We will meet again and may your gentle soul rest in the bosom of our Lord, Amen “, he prayed.

Also another sibling to late Odife, Emmanuel Odife, said that the demise of his elder brother was a blow in the blue and prayed God for the repose of the deceased who he said was a peace maker.
