Youths Attack Hisbah Office In Katsina, Officials Injured

Some youths in Tandama community in danja local government area of katsina state attacked the hisbah office following a disagreement over a hair barbing style.

Zagazola Makama reports that the incident happened at about 6:10 p.m. on Friday, after the Hisbah officials challenged some youths over their choice of haircut. the confrontation escalated, prompting the youths to attack the Hisbah office.

Several Hisbah officials sustained injuries in the attack and were rushed to Danja General Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police say investigations are ongoing to identify those involved in the attack and bring them to justice.

The incident spotlights the growing concern over the excesses of Hisbah groups, which many say are overstepping their moral policing responsibilities and violating the human rights of ordinary people under the guise of upholding moral standards.
