Hon. Ogedegbe Flags Off Foundation Laying For New Office Complex For HoDs, Government Parastatals
The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe JP, has officially flagged off the foundation laying ceremony for a new administrative office complex intended for Heads of Departments (HoDs) and other government parastatals within the local government area.
The new one-storey building will feature twenty-six (26) modern offices and a mini-conference room, designed to improve the working environment and enhance administrative efficiency. The project is slated for completion within three months and will be ready for full use upon completion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Ogedegbe emphasized the urgent need for new office infrastructure, citing the dilapidated condition of the current office spaces being used by HoDs.
“The construction of these new offices has become necessary due to the poor state of the existing buildings. Many of our departments currently operate in leaking and unsafe environments, where rainwater disrupts work and damages important documents,” he stated.

“You all know that water and paper are not good friends. These buildings have long outlived their expected lifespan. It is only proper that we create a conducive and dignified working environment for our dedicated staff.”
The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development and promised continued investment in projects that support effective governance and public service delivery.
The ceremony was attended by council officials, department heads, community leaders, and other stakeholders who commended the initiative and expressed optimism about the positive impact the new building will have on service delivery in Ethiope East LGA.
