Ajede Marks Independence Day With Free Transport For Ukwuani Residents
The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Ajede Possible, has extended warm Independence Day greetings to the people of Ukwuani and marked the celebration with the launch of free transportation services across all communities.
The special initiative, rolled out today, October 1, 2025, allows residents to travel at no cost using the Ukwuani Mass Transit Buses, stationed at designated terminals throughout the area.

Hon. Ajede said the gesture was aimed at easing mobility for residents, particularly during festive seasons when transport fares often rise sharply.

“Rather than deliver a long Independence Day message, I chose to celebrate with a practical solution—free transportation to help our people move easily and enjoy the day,” he stated.
The Chairman prayed for continued peace, unity, and prosperity for both Ukwuani and Nigeria, expressing hope for a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
