Ajede Moves To Revamp Ukwuani Educational Sector
… Commends Teachers, School Administrators
… Assures Lea Of Continued Support
In an effort to revamp and strengthen the education sector in the LGA, the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) C.S Possible Ajede, today held an enlarged meeting with the Ukwuani Local Government Education Authority (LEA), Head Teachers, Council Management staff, school administrators and the LEA board chairman.
In his address, Barr. Ajede commended the head teachers, teachers and school administrators for their continued commitment to teaching and molding the lives of pupils across the LGA.
The Ukwuani Council Boss acknowledged the dedication of the head teachers despite the challenges facing the education sector in the area which according to him will be handled soonest.
During the meeting, the DO MORE AGENDA Torchbearer, however, cautioned against any form of extortion of pupils during registration even as he described such acts as unacceptable. He therefore urged and encouraged the school heads to uphold integrity and transparency in their administrative duties in their respective schools across the LGA.
Speaking further, Barr. Ajede lamented the vandalization of public schools in some communities and the poor condition of most of the schools, noting that many of them have become overgrown with weeds.
While reiterating on his administration’s education development goals as embedded in the DO MORE AGENDA, the Ukwuani Council Chairman emphasized that, education is the bedrock of any society, adding that, all hands must be on deck to ensure that the primary school system in Ukwuani LGA is strengthened and more effective.

The Council Boss further stressed the importance of in-house training for teachers and school administrators to enhance their capacity and improve the quality of education delivery across the LGA to align with the vision of the Federal Government.

Meanwhile, the Ukwuani performing Chairman has given the assurance that, his administration will continue to support the LEA and the schools to ensure that the education mandate of his administration is fully delivered.
He stated that, his administration will continue to provide educational support to students in tertiary, secondary and primary schools across the country and particularly in Ukwuani even as he added that, the aim is to ensure that Ukwuani children have access to quality education and learning.
In their separate remarks, the Education Secretary, head teachers, and other stakeholders appreciated the Executive Chairman for the enlarged meeting even as they appealed for a continuous engagement.
They also noted that the interaction with the Council Chairman was timely and expressed optimism that the outcomes would go a long way in improving the educational system in the LGA.
