He Was A Voice For The People: Christian Omomaife Pays Tribute To Late Brother

Christian Omomaife has described his late brother, Senator Comrade Aghogho Leonard Omomaife as a voice of the people, saying that he was “a man of uncommon capacity, courage, and commitment to service.”

He said this in a tribute on Sunday made available to Oasis Magazine.

His words: “He was more than a leader; he was a voice for the people and a pillar of hope for the youths. As the former Youth Secretary General of Oruarivie, Abraka Kingdom, he served with distinction, integrity, and an unwavering passion for unity and progress.”

He continued: “His leadership was not driven by personal gain but by a genuine desire to uplift his community and empower the next generation.

“Senator Aghogho got his Senatorial title and position from his uni days when he became the Senator representin his faculty at the Students’ union government legislative house.

Senator Aghogho believed in responsibility, dialogue, and action. He carried the burden of leadership with humility and faced challenges with wisdom beyond his years.

His ability to organize, inspire, and stand firm for what was right marked him as a true comrade and a servant of the people.”

According to him, “though his absence leaves a deep void, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the structures he helped build, and the ideals he stood for.”

Adding: “He has written his name not just in records, but in hearts.”

He said further: “I promise you on my honor, to carry on with the burden of your unending love for humanity that inspired you to set up The Aghogho Omomaife Education Foundation. I am taking it upon myself to pilot the affairs of the foundation till it’s ripe to be handed over to the next generation.

“The youths you freed from the shackles of chains with your signature and your voice, children you took care of, the students you shaped their lives while in service, the Samson Omomaife family, Urhuovie (Ogodo) community and the Oruarivie Abraka kingdom miss you.”

“Rest on, my brother. Your service speaks. Your legacy endures. Your memory will forever remain a guiding light, till we meet again to part no more,” he concluded.
