NAPPS Delta Suspends Oshimili South Chapter Chairman, Lists Offences

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State Wing, has suspended the Oshimili South Chapter Chairman, Mr.Sampson Ekene.
This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday signed by Deaconess Mrs. Precious Young, State Chairman, NAPPS, Delta State.
The statement reads in part: “Following the State Executive Council meeting of NAPPS Delta State and after several and exhaustive consultations with the Oshimili South elders and stakeholders, the State Executive Council, NAPPS Delta, relying on Article 20, part B. Article 59, part B, Article 21,paragraph IV and Article 93,Par B vi, x, xi and xiii of the 2017 Constitution, has resolved as follows: That the Oshimili South Chapter Chairman, Mr.Sampson Ekene is hereby suspended from the office of the NAPPS Oshimili Chapter Chairman and any other Committee wherein he has been a member for, the following reasons:- 1.Withholding the state termly dues of his chapter for almost a year now. 2. Refusing to remit to the state the land Levy he collected from members. 3. Undermining the autbority of the State Exco by dealing with the state ministry of education without due consultation with the SEC. 4. Telling lies on state officers and elders without any valid proof all with a view to destabilizing NAPPS Delta State.”
According to the statement, other offences of the suspended chairman include “total disregard for the office of the State Chairman and continuous insults on constituted authority, severally attempting to take over the administration of the state NAPPS instead of minding the business of his chapter, trying to destabilie the Delta State NAPPS by going contrary to the NAPPS Delta State general decision on the ongoing leadership crisis at the National level because of the greed for a second tenure bid which is alien to the constitution that brought him to office.”

The statement continued: “The suspension is with immediate effect,” adding: |”While we wait for the outcome of the findings of the disciplinary committee who has been saddled with the investigation of these offences of gross misconduct and insubordination, cyber stalking, and false accusation against the person and office of the NAPPS Delta State Chairman and others.”
“The Vice Chairman of Oshimili South is to take over the office as the Acting Chairman of NAPPS Oshimili South immediately,” Young added.
“Mr. Sampson Ekene is hereby directed to hand over all documents and items relating to the office of the Chairman to the Acting Chairman immediately until the final report of the Disciplinary Committee is received,” the statement concluded.
