Gunmen Abduct Former NAPPS Delta Chairman
The immediate past Chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State chapter, Dcn. Monday Ifoghere, has reportedly been abducted by unknown gunmen.
According to a statement issued by the association, Ifoghere was kidnapped on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, while travelling to Benin City from Eku.
The statement disclosed that the former NAPPS chairman had left his residence in Eku to pursue a petition concerning the leadership of NAPPS Delta State, allegedly instituted by a former South-South National Vice President of the association.
His wife, Mrs. Ifoghere, was said to have reported the incident at the Nigeria Police Force Zone 5 Headquarters on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

She reportedly informed the police that her husband had received threats from a former NAPPS South-South NVP prior to his abduction.
Meanwhile, the leadership of NAPPS Delta State has called on members and the public to pray for the safe release of Dcn. Ifoghere.
The statement was signed by the Assistant State Secretary on behalf of the State Executive Council.
