Lady Basikoro Installed As Okpako Ewheya Of Edjophe Community In Ughelli South LGA

Saturday, 14th March, 2026, was a great day in the history of Edjophe people of Ughievwen Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

‎It was a day that family, friends, community leaders and women folk (married), women in particular came together under a joyous moment to install a nonagenarian, Mrs Lady Basikoro as the OKPAKO EWHEYA Of Edjophe Community.

‎Mrs. Lady Basikoro whose mother was an Okpako Ewheya Of Usiefrun Community in those days,is also the wife of Late Pa. Robert Basikoro Eshah who also grew to become the OKPAKO Orere (Oldest Man) of Edjophe community before his death in 1994.

‎ Since then, Mrs Lady Basikoro, the mother of former Assistant National Secretary Of NUPENG, Comr. Godwin Basikoro, Edward Basikoro,Tony Basikoro Of Batop Conglomerates, Delta born renowned Social Media influencer, Comr. Sunny Basikoro, etal, has remained steadfast and resolute in her matrimonial marriage despite the demise of Chief R.B Eshah long ago.

‎People came out in large numbers to honour the celebrant with great virtues as music was supplied by Sir Difference and his group, DJs.

‎MCs of the day were Mc Toomuch, Okotokpo and Avwolokpamuo.
