The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Abraka Unit, organised a colourful Children’s Day celebration in Abraka, Delta State, bringing together pupils, students, teachers, parents, and school owners to honour children and promote their welfare.

The event that held at Ojeta Secondary School on Wednesday, featured match past, cultural displays, choreography, debates, recitations, and other entertaining activities aimed at celebrating the talents and creativity of children.

Speaking during the celebration, Chairman of NAPPS, Abraka, Dr. Ejiro Onosakpome, described children as the future of the nation and stressed the need for continuous investment in quality education and moral upbringing.

He urged parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to remain committed to nurturing children in an environment that encourages learning, discipline, and innovation.

Schools that participated in the event included Pleasant International Schools, Betisam College, Success Life Model School, Peculiar Academy, Pecos Schools, Christ Model School, Greater Archivers, and Glorious Fortress Schools.

The organisers also noted that Children’s Day serves as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of protecting children’s rights and providing them with the support needed to achieve their dreams.
