Odogwu Gives Reasons Ned Nwoko Should Return To Senate

The Director General of the Technical Committee on the Creation of Anioma State, Godfrey Odogwu, has declared that Ned Nwoko remains the best candidate in decades to represent Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Odogwu, an APC chieftain, outlined eight reasons why the lawmaker deserves a second term, emphasizing continuity, performance, and grassroots connection.

He said Nwoko’s return is vital to sustaining the progress already made in the push for the creation of Anioma State, warning that any break in continuity could reverse years of effort toward achieving the proposed state with Asaba as capital.

According to him, the senator has established a strong legislative record in the 10th Senate, with bills and motions covering constitutional reforms, fiscal federalism, healthcare, youth empowerment, national security, and diaspora inclusion.

He added that Nwoko’s representation has brought visible development across Delta North, including rural roads, water supply projects, school renovations, medical outreaches, solar electrification, and agricultural support programmes.

Odogwu described the senator as a courageous and visionary leader with the intellectual capacity and political will to confront structural challenges and deliver results.

He also highlighted Nwoko’s humanitarian efforts, noting that he has provided scholarships to indigent students, paid medical bills for the less privileged, and supported small businesses and families.

He said the senator enjoys strong grassroots support, particularly among women and youths, who see him as accessible, sincere, and committed to their welfare.

He further noted that Nwoko maintains close ties with traditional rulers, regularly consulting them and keeping them informed on key developments, especially the Anioma State project.

Odogwu urged the people of Delta North to unite and support Nwoko’s re-election, insisting that he remains a tested and trusted leader capable of delivering more dividends of democracy in a second term.
