Prof. Duke Okoro To Deliver FUPRE’s 14th Inaugural Lecture On Environmental Pollution, Sustainability
The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) has announced its 14th Inaugural Lecture, with renowned environmental scholar and Rector of Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Prof. Duke Okoro, set to deliver the lecture.
The lecture, titled “Decoding Pollution in a Petroleum Nation: The Role of Environmental Analytical Chemistry in Safeguarding Nigeria’s Environment,” is expected to explore the challenges of environmental pollution in Nigeria’s petroleum sector and highlight the role of science and environmental analytical chemistry in promoting sustainability and ecosystem protection.
Prof. Okoro, a Professor of Environmental Analytical Chemistry and respected expert in environmental studies, pollution control, risk management and sustainable development, is expected to provide scholarly perspectives on safeguarding Nigeria’s environment amid increasing industrial and petroleum-related activities.
The academic event will be held under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor of FUPRE, Prof. Ezekiel O. Agbalagba.
