Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo Alleges Death Threats From Suspected Fulani Herdsmen, Declares Faith Amid Fear

Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo has alleged that he and members of his church received death threats from suspected Fulani herdsmen, saying the threats have not shaken his resolve to continue speaking out against the persecution of Christians in Nigeria.

In a post on X, Rev. Dachomo said the threatening letter, written in both Hausa and English, warned that he would soon be killed, just as nine of his relatives were allegedly murdered. He disclosed that copies of the letters had already been handed over to security operatives for investigation.

Despite the alleged threats, the cleric said he was not afraid, insisting that his life is in the hands of God. Quoting Psalm 118:6, he declared, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do unto me?”

Rev. Dachomo said he has witnessed the pain of losing loved ones and comforting children and families affected by violent attacks. He questioned why he had become a target, maintaining that his only “crime” was speaking for widows, orphaned children and persecuted Christians, while continuing to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He vowed not to be silenced by intimidation, saying truth must never surrender to terror. Citing John 15:20 and Romans 8:35, he said persecution would not separate believers from the love of Christ and reaffirmed his commitment to his faith and mission.

The cleric called on the international community to remember widows, orphans and Christians facing persecution in Nigeria, urging people around the world to stand in prayer, speak the truth and demand justice for innocent victims.

He concluded by saying that even if his voice were eventually silenced, the world should remember that he carried no weapon, insisting that his only mission was to defend the persecuted and draw global attention to the suffering of innocent people.

He ended his message with the words of 2 Timothy 4:7, expressing hope that God would strengthen persecuted believers, comfort grieving families and bring justice and lasting peace.
