Delta Government Suspends Works Commissioner, Izeze, Indefinitely
The Delta State Government has announced the indefinite suspension of Hon. Izeze Rume Yakubu Reuben, Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), with immediate effect.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, the suspension is to enable security agencies to conduct an unbiased investigation into allegations associating the Commissioner with the recent assault on the Senior Special Assistant on Protocol, Mr. Simon Mudi, popularly known as “Temple,” at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun.
The statement said the decision was taken to allow the security agencies to investigate the allegations without interference.

The State Government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public safety, law and order, and protecting the sanctity of lives in all circumstances.
It stressed that this position remains applicable even when institutions or officials of the State are involved.
