PCRC Inaugurates New Executive In Delta Community

The Delta State Chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, today inaugurated a new executive for the Enerhen Division in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
The new executive will pilot the affairs in the area within the next four years.
Speaking at the inauguration/appeal fund raising ceremony, the Delta State PCRC Chairman, Amb. Chief (Dcns.)V.O. Odet JP a.k.a, Bravo, said being a member of PCRC is not a licence to commit crime.
Amb. Odet also called on members of the new executive to not allow their interests override their official duty, just as she threatened to withdraw the certificate of anyone found wanting.
In his acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in PCRC Chairman in the said area, Engr. Gracious Omatseye, disclosed that policenen on night duty use their handsets as torchlight.
He added that the Police do not have any toilet and other facilities in the station.
While noting that the situation is very appalling, Engr. Omatseye promised that the new executive which he heads will carry out some renovation work at the station.
The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Enerhen Division, CSP Emmanuel Yakubu said,”truly, we lack everything it takes to perform.”
CSP Yakubu said the PCRC which is a social organization has bridged the gap between the police and the society.
The Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force in Warri, ACP Mohammed Shaba, who was represented by CSP Rachael Edegwa, congratulated members of the new executive and urged them to conduct themselves within the ambit of the law.
The Provost of PCRC in the state, Mr. Christopher Otumu, administered the oath of office to the newly sworn-in executive members.
Members of the newly inaugurated PCRC executive in Enerhen include: Engr. Gracious Omatseye, Chairman, Chief Kingsley Ejitobor,Vice Chairman, Insp. Eghosa Osaguona, Secretary, Mr. Afolabi Taiye, Assistant Secretary, Mr. Ufuoma Odjugjuredere, Financial Secretary, Pastor Richard.O. Ugbudia Oghenevwogaga, PRO, Mrs. Faith Ughelli, Welfare Officer, Omovudice A. Onomavwe, Provost and Maryan Shuaibu, Treasurer.
