Vigilante Member Strips Two Suspects Naked Over Alleged Looting Of DLA Yard In Delta

A local vigilante member, popularly known as Agbor Gha-Ihun in Agbor, Delta State today stripped two suspects naked and paraded them for allegedly looting properties worth thousands of naira at the Direct Labour Agency, DLA Yard at Ime-Obi in Agbor in the early hours of today, Oasis Magazine (OM) can report.
The two suspects, Monday Ahie and Lucky Jegbefume, were arrested in the early hours of today by members of the vigilante group.
The vigilante also recovered a thick armoured cable valued at four hundred thousand naira (N400,000), as well as three heavy duty batteries estimated at eighty thousand naira(N80,000)each.
At the time of filing this report, the suspects have been handed over to the police in Agbor.
Contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa, confirmed the report, stressing that he has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State CID for investigation.
CP Mustafa noted that the suspects were arrested at Agbor Community as vandals.
According to CP Mustafa “it is not going to be business as usual except the criminals relocate elsewhere and not Delta State.”
The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
