Evance Ivwurie: Some Members Of PDP In Ethiope East LGA Did Not Accept, Welcome Me Back To The Party
By Dafe Rukevwe
The Lawmaker representing Ethiope East Local Government Area in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Chief (Hon.) Evance Ivwurie, has called out some members of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his constituency, saying that some party members in the area did not accept and welcome him back when he decamped to the PDP while he represented the area in the DTHA.
While delivering his valedictory speech as published by an online news platform, www.politicsgovernance.com, the lawmaker added: “There is a lesson in every experience and I thank God who has the final say for sparing my life all through my horrendous experience in the LGA since I rejoined the PDP.”
He continued: “As I match forward to greater heights through Christ Jesus, I return all the glory and honor to God Almighty.”
According to him, he decamped from the Labour Party (LP) to PDP due to circumstances beyond his control, adding that he has “no single regret in taking that decisive decision.”
While commending the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, for “their leadership, trustworthiness, integrity, influence, steadfastness, sincerity, strong personalities and for leading the way,” he thanked the Speaker and the House for standing by him and his constituency all through the travails of Fulani herdsmen killings and Presco Plc aggression.
He also thanked the Speaker and Members of the Delta State House of Assembly and many of the leaders of PDP across the state who sincerely accepted and welcomed him back to the PDP.
Attempts to reach the lawmaker for more comments proved abortive, as he did not respond to his calls nor reply text messages sent to his mobile phone number.
