The Publisher of Oasis Magazine, a print and online media outfit, Pastor Daniel Dafe Umukoro and his siblings, have laid their late father, Rev. Albert Esioshono Umukoro, to rest.
The colourful event held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Glorious Baptist Church School field in Oviri-Okpe Community, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking to journalists, Dafe, who is the eldest son, said he was pained that his late father lived for just 67 years on planet earth.
He added: “Nevertheless, we have buried him and that’s what matters now.”
Dafe also expressed excitement over the population of dignitaries that came to celebrate with him and his siblings.
According to him, his late father was a “gentle man, peace loving man, one that feared God and loves people,” stressing that these virtues made him a special person.
Furthermore, he condoled with his siblings and the larger Umukoro family, as he called on them to take heart.

His words: “It has happened and there is nothing we can do to bring him back to life. He is gone and I expect them emulate his good characteristics and continue from where he stopped. I want them to replicate his good characters and be a plus to people’s lives.”
Earlier, a cleric with the Church of God Mission International, Rev. James Akpan, in a sermon enjoined his audience to surrender their lives to God, saying that is the only way they can be saved.
In attendance were pastors, journalists, members of the Delta State Chapter of the Association of Community Newspapers of Nigerian, ACNPN, churches, the academia, private school owners, security agents and some members of the larger Umukoro family.
