UPU: Emete Congratulates Sunny Akpoyibo Over Appointment As CREN President

The Female Youth Wing of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Worldwide, Emete, has congratulated Dr. Sunny Akpoyibo over his appointment by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, as the President of the Council for Renewable Energy Nigeria (CREN), describing him “as a very noble and worthy son of Urhobo nation.”
The group in a press release made available to this medium,said: “This appointment will bring about job creation and also unlock green climate funds.”
The press release also read: “Dr Akpoyibo is the best man for the job and a square peg in a square hole and we know that Dr. Akpoyibo’s appointment is a major plus to Urhobo Nation and also to Nigeria at large,” saying that “his passion for development is known to everyone.”
Continuing, they said: “Dr. Sunny Akpoyibo’s love for the progress of Urhobo Nation has made him pledge that CREN will partner with Emete in the area of capacity building on renewable energy for job creation.”
The Emete R’ Urhobo believes that with Dr. Akpoyibo’s appointment, Urhobo has gotten it right again because he is a grassroots man with the progress of Urhobo Nation at heart.
The statement added: “Youths in Urhobo land are excited about this appointment and are willing to partner with him. Emete pledges her full support and look forward to a successful tenure and cooperation as he serves his fatherland in this capacity.”
They also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his choice and also thanked the Deputy Senate President (DSP), Sen. Ovie Omo Agege for setting the pace for the unity and progress of Urhobo Nation.
