The Asagba of Okpanam, Obi Adimabuah Ozili (JP), has described death as an inevitable end to the life of every mortal being on earth, even as he eulogized his late mother, late madam, Mrs Anna Ofili, who transited at the age 84 years, saying she was a pride to every woman.

Obi Ozili, who stated this in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area in his tribute to the deceased, recalled that his deceased mother played a key role in his life, especially his upbringing that have impacted him immensely towards shaping his life for the attainment of some degree of success and greatness.

While further describing the deceased as a pillar of growth and development of the society who leveraged on every opportunity within her disposal to affect lives in Okpanam and beyond, the Asagba noted that she was a humble, kind-hearted and God fearing woman whose philosophies were anchored on fairness, social justice and equity for all individuals in the society .

Obi Ozili stated that the family would continue to remember her for her selfless service to humanity and pledged to take solace in the fact that she lived a life worthy of emulation, attributing her longevity of life to the benevolence of God as well as her uprightness at all times and disclosed that activities for her burial would soon be announced by the family.

He, however, admonished every mother to always show genuine concern for the welfare of their children as well as build their foundation in order to put them on the pedestal of sustainable growth in life and consider whatever circumstances they find themselves as an opportunity to touch the lives of their children and others around them meaningfully.

Obi Ozili, who enjoined children of nowadays to tow the right part so as to reap the several positive benefits, cautioned them against indulging in nefarious activities that could jeopardize their future.

The traditional ruler emphasized the strong need for all hands to be on deck in the development of the society.
