General Paul Omu, A Man Of Honour At 80– Olorogun Okwagbe, Prince Abugo

Olorogun Okiemute Oviri Okwagbe JP, SSA to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on Community Liaison and his counterpart, Prince Akpor Abugo, SSA Social Advocacy, speaking in Warri in their separate congratulatory messages yesterday, described General Paul Ufuoma Omu (rtd) as a man of honour and rare courage at eighty.
Olorogun Oviri Okwagbe  who spoke in his residence at Rhobe Housing Complex, Maka Street Ekpan, stated in his message that General Paul Omu at eighty can be described as a light that is shining so bright for mankind not to walk in darkness.
While describing him as a man of many parts, Olorogun Okwagbe said: “the man called General Omu is an enigma; he is a man of many parts. Like a colossus, he is widely known across the length and breadth of the nation due to his service to the nation.”
Olorogun Okwagbe while further emphasising the good works of the celebrant, said: “General Omu is a father to all, even with all his military prowess, he chose to remain an ambassador of peace, adding that  that is why we are all celebrating him at eighty.
He asserted that Omu’s life is a source of  inspiration to the younger and new  generation that must be emulated.
Giving more examples of Omu’s exemplary leadership quality, Olorogun Okwagbe, the Governor’s aide, said: “General Paul Omu , our father is now an octogenarian in the enviable club of senior citizens with a good track record of meritorious service to the nation as an Army General.
Speaking in the same vein at the Governor’s office annex, Warri, Prince Akpor Abugo, SSA to Gov. Okowa on Social Advocacy noted in his message that General Omu is a symbol of peace in lsoko land, so at eighty we are celebrating his love for the people and his rare courage to stand for the betterment of all.
Eulogizing him further, Abugo the Governor’s aide said: “General Omu is a great nationalist, a man of peace, a soldier with a heart of conscience, believer of human capital development in all sphere of life.
Prince Akpor Abugo stressed in his congratulatory message that the contribution of General Omu to national growth and cohesion cannot be underestimated, adding that all we wish him is good health in service to his father land.
Speaking further, Prince Abugo, said: “Anywhere you see General Omu, his presence alone sends signals to people that they cannot afford to be defiants otherwise they will face the General’s rod of discipline.
Abugo remarked that General Omu at eighty is a very dependable source of inspiration to the Isoko nation,  Delta State and Nigeria at large.
While describing General Omu as a very high profile politician, Prince Abugo said: “General Omu is indeed a high profile politician who to the glory of God played a fundamental role for his wife to become a distinguished senator without being partisan.
