BREAKING: Gunmen Kidnap DELSU Lecturer’s Wife In Abraka

The wife of a lecturer in Mathematics and Computer Science Department, Delta State University, Abraka, Dr. Sunny Ojoboh, has been kidnapped.
Mrs. Ojoboh is a staff of Erho Secondary School, Abraka.
According to sources, she was kidnapped in her shop along Old Eku-Abraka Road close to FSP junction in the university town in the evening on Monday.
A source who said the kidnappers stormed her shop shooting sporadically into the air to scare people away, whisked their target into their vehicle and also went away with her Lexus Jeep.
Another account said she was kidnapped on her way home from her shop at about 9p.m.
The kidnappers who were given a hot chase escaped through the Eku axis using the old road and are yet to make any contact with the husband or any other family member.
When contacted, Dr. Ojoboh promised to get back to us.

This kidnap case, is one of many in recent times in Abraka.
At the time of filing this report, a lady that was kidnapped over 10 days ago is yet to regain her freedom.
Meanwhile, snatching of cars is still rampant in the said community.
Just recently, the vigilante group was inaugurated and new leaders picked to beef up community policing and assist the police in tackling crime and criminality that seems to be returning back to the town in full force.
Speaking to a vigilante member who does not want his name mentioned, he opined that they are not getting enough support from the community to aid their effectiveness.
His words: “Na ordinary hand na we go use take work? Dem naw dey look after us; no appreciation. Make dem back us so that we fit no wetin to do.”
Oasis Magazine sent a text message to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya on the negative development and trend in Abraka to react to the development.
Her response read: “I will get back please.”
