Delta Releases Results Of Three Examinations
Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has released the results of three examinations conducted by the ministry.
The examinations are the 2019/2020 Cognitive/Placement Examination, Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the State Model School Entrance Examination.
A statement by the Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Mr. Patrick Ukah, in Asaba today (20/11/2020) advised pupils and students who sat for any of the examinations to access their results online using the specific scratch cards for the examination.
Mr. Ukah revealed that candidates who have resit in BECE are expected to start registration for the resit examination immediately.
A total of 107,089 primary 6 pupils registered for the Cognitive/Placement Examination. Of this number, 53,773 had distinction, 42,314 merit, 2,753 pass, 5,722 failed, while 2,527 pupils were absent.

In BECE for JSS 3 students, 82,117 students registered. 70,458 passed, 836 failed, 2,396 were absent, while 8425 are to resit the examination.
4,152 pupils sat for the State Model School Entrance Examination for admission into JS 1, while JS 2 had 357 students for admission. 635 students sought for admission into SS 1 and 144 students for admission into SS 2.
Admission will be based on the cut-off marks set out for each school by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
