May 29: Delta Cancels Environmental Sanitation
Delta Government has cancelled the monthly environmental sanitation for May, 2021 slated for Saturday, May 29 to enable Deltans to participate in the activities marking the 6th anniversary of the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, made this known in a statement in Asaba on Friday.
The statement said that cancellation of the exercise was necessary so as to allow easy movement for persons and religious groups who would be at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, for Interdenominational Praise and Thanksgiving Service and other aspects of the celebration slated for the day.

According to it, the state government is mindful that aside from residents of Asaba and its environs, some people will travel from different parts of the state to the capital city to participate in the programme which will begin at 9 a.m.
It urged Deltans to continue to be law-abiding and join in the prayers for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his administration, and enduring peace and sustained socio-economic growth in the state.
