Sapele Police Division during a surveillance patrol on the 10th of November, 2021, at about 4:45pm, apprehended Morrison Godwin, known to be a notorious armed robber.
The suspect, aged 38 is said to have been a terror to residents of the community and its environs.
The police team who had been given prior information about the suspect, placed a security watch within the state, were able to successfully track down the suspect who they discovered was residing at Ojolu area in the town.
Oasis Magazine learnt that with the tip off, police officers were able to track down the suspect after they stormed his house.
A statement by the police spokesman in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, said that during search of his house, one locally made pistol and seven live cartridges were discovered, adding that investigation is in progress.
In another development, the Command’s Eaglenet Special Squad, has apprehended a suspected rapist, Mr Jude Nduka.
This, the police said followed a complaint by a woman [name withheld] within the hours of 10a.m on Wednesday, 10th November, 2021.

The woman who resides in Asaba, Okpanam Road, lodged the complaint against the said suspect who is aged 35yrs and resides at No. 10, Obi Onuwe Street, behind Kowen Plaza, Asaba.
The woman in her statement claimed that the suspect raped and defiled both of her teenage daughters aged 13 and 16 years respectively, adding that her 16year old daughter is currently pregnant as a result of the dastardly act.
The suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation by the police.
Medical examinations were also carried out on the victims, but the result was not disclosed by the police. The suspect who is cooling off in police custody will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
Meanwhile, a combined effort of policemen in Agbarho and vigilante task force to restore and maintain peace and protect lives and property in the community, has yielded result, just as one Solomon Adama, alleged to be a cultist was apprehended.
The suspect aged 25, who resides at Maternity road, Agbarho at Oguname street, Agbarho, was nabbed on Tuesday, 9th November, 2021.

During further investigation and search conducted in the residence of the suspect, the security officials found in his possession one locally made pistol and one live cartridge.
The suspect during further questioning admitted to being a member of Eiye confraternity.
He further confessed that the gun was given to him by one Gregory Orhokpocha, aged 37yrs who is also a native of Agbarho community.
Gregory, the police said is the leader of Eiye confraternity in Agbarho, adding that he (Gregory) was swiftly arrested.
The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
