Salvation Ministries: 3 Dead, Not 10, In Okpanam Building Collapse, Says Police

The Delta State Police Command has debunked reports making rounds that 10 persons were confirmed dead in the
building collapse housing a branch of Salvation Ministries located in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, South-South Nigeria,
Recall that on Tuesday evening, while members were gathered for worship, the church building collapsed.

According to the Command in a statememt by the police spokesman, DSP Edafe Bright, “rescue operation is over,” saying that “18 persons were rescued initially.”
Adding: “Four persons were discharged and 11 persons still receiving treatment; three deaths recorded which includes two female children and one woman, their names unknown for now.”
