Delta: Police Arrest Woman For Torturing Son With Cutlass, Rod

Police in Otor-Udu, Delta State have arrested a woman, Naomi Esther Batubu, for torturing her son with cutlass and iron rods and inflicting painful sores all over the child’s body.
A rights activist in the state, Comrade Israel Joe, disclosed this on Friday in a statement sent to Oasis Magazine.
According to him, his attention was drawn to the incident via one of his Facebook followers.

Joe said the woman tied up her son on an electric poll, beat him up with iron and cutlass and rubbed the child with pepper all over the injuries she inflicted on him.
The comrade said the plight of the maltreated child made him immediately call the Ovwian/Aladja DPO, CSP Shaba who then detailed a truck of Police men along with few comrades to arrest the woman and have the child rescued.
“The culprit is now detained at the police station while the child taken to the hospital. Thanks to all social media followers who keep drawing our attention to such issues,” his statememt added.
