Shehu Sani: Governors Who Want Buhari To Sack Civil Servants Above 50 Years Should First Of All Sack Themselves
According to an exclusive report done by Premium Times, governors had in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, proposed that the federal government should sack civil servants who are above 50 years of age, raise taxes across the board and levy anyone in the country earning N30,000 and above monthly.
Reacting to the governors’ proposals in a post on his Twitter page, the former lawmaker and President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria (CRCN), Sani said the implementation of the governors’ proposal should start from them as all of them are already above 50 years of age.

Senator Sani wrote, “The Governors want Buhari to sack civil servants that are over fifty years of age. They should have started from themselves since all of them are over fifty.”
The governors have come under fire following their proposal to the President, advising him to sack civil servants who are 50 years and above.
