World Teachers’ Day: Delta To Reward Contributions Of Teachers To Societal Development

All is now set for the 2022 Teachers’ Day / Dinner Night Award Celebration in Delta State.
Teachers’ Award Ceremony is in commemoration of the Interventional Teachers’ Day which is held globally on October 5 every year.
The World Teachers’Day is aimed at focusing on the need to appreciate, assess and improve educators as well as provide an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching.
In Delta State, ceremony would provide a veritable platform to recognise and appreciate teachers for their immense contributions of teachers towards the growth and development of the state.

Speaking on the importance of the event, the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu lauded teachers for their efforts in moulding future leaders.
Mrs. Ezewu, who urged them to sustain their commitment to duty , said that who much was given much was expected even as she stated that Okowa administration had continued to give priority attention to the welfare of teachers in the state.
While saying that teachers who performed well would be rewarded during the event with an award of excellent service delivery, she described them as key partners in the development of any society.
