Gunmen In Police Uniform Strike In Abraka, Abduct 5

Gunmen on Sunday abducted three yet to be identified boys and two girls in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State.

The incident which took place at the popular FSP junction along the Abraka-Agbor road, occurred at about 8p.m.

The gunmen who were dressed in police uniforms, fired several gunshots to scare away passersby, as they forced the victims who drove in a Lexus 350 Jeep.

Those abducted were said to have left Bisyl Suites few minutes before they were kidnapped.

Police sources said the victims were trailed, saying that the car the victims drove in has since been towed to the Abraka Police station.

At the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the victims were still still unknown.

Meanwhile, another account said only one and not five persons were abducted.

Details of the incidence were still sketchy at the time of publishing this report.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe, said he was unaware of the incidence, but promised to call back as soon as he confirms the development.
