Oke Idawene Bags ‘Beacon Of Hope To Humanity’ Award

A group, Advocate For Good Governance has presented an award to the Chairman/Convener, Integrity Group of Delta State, Ambassador Oke Idawene.

The event held in Asaba on Tuesday.

The group honoured Amb. Idawene with the Beacon Of Hope To Humanity’ award, describing him as a “vanguard of societal transformation.”

“Idawene is given this award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to Nigerian quest for sustainable development via societal transformation, contribution towards effective service delivery among a host of other strides that have advanced excellence, capital building, humanitarian stride, philanthropy, outstanding service to God Almighty, humanity and country,” the body said.

Responding to the gesture, Idawene, thanked Advocate For Good Governance for the honour.

Idawene, the former Chairman, Social Democratic Party, SDP, Delta State, added: “I am excited that a notable group like Advocate For Good Governance traced me all the way from Lagos for this highly recommended award. It will spur us more to work harder.”

According to him, Integrity Group Of Delta State remains the MORE Ambassadors and “unrepentant supporters of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
