John Owan Enoh: Finance And Social Entrepreneur Now Sports Minister
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday 15th August, 2023 confirmed the appointment of distinguished senator John Owan Enoh as Minister of Sports.
Sen Enoh, a seasoned lawmaker, philanthropist, politician and farmer succeeded Dare Sunday, former minister of sports under the president Buhari administration.
Enoh has an MBA with a certificate in Public Finance from Harvard University. Senator Enoh’s core skills are leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and humanitarian assistance.

In the National Assembly, Senator Enoh has chaired Committees of Finance and Appropriations in the House of Representatives, and the Senate Committee on finance. This experience will provide the necessary support in financial restructuring and organizational re-engineering of the ministry of sports.
Hopefully, his appointment will begin the process of repositioning the sector as a critical economic sector in Nigeria.
As a Legislator, he has advanced the interest of central cross river state through employment opportunities into various ministries, agencies, and organizations. As a philanthropist, Sen Enoh started the JOE foundation, a charity organization dedicated to providing help for people living with diabetes in Nigeria.
