Abraka Indigene, Akpevwe Ogboru Becomes First Nigerian Female To Ride Solo Across West Africa On Motorcycle

An Indigene of Ajalomi-Abraka in Ethiope East Local Governennt Area of Delta State, Akpevwe Ogboru has become the first Nigerians female to ride solo across West Africa on a motorcycle.

A Facebook user who celebrated her feat, added: “She embarked on an extraordinary journey, traversing 12 ECOWAS nations, beginning her voyage in Abuja, Nigeria. She then ventured through Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Burkina Faso, and finally returning back through Togo, Benin, and Nigeria.”

According to the post, “the total distance she covered is an impressive 8,205.2 kilometers.”

He continued: “Setting a historic record, Ogboru Akpevwe is the FIRST Nigerian woman to ride solo across West Africa on a motorcycle.”

Meanwhile, elder brother to Akpevwe, Omouvie Ogboru, while reacting to the record-breaking achievement, said: “Ogboru Akpevwe my younger sister has made Nigerians, Deltans, Urhobos and the Abraka people proud.”
