Thieves Attack Staff Quarters In DELSU, Cart Away Phones, Other Gadgets

Some staff members in Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, recently lost phones and other gadgets to thieves when one of the popular staff quarters in Campus 3 was attacked.
The said robbery incident occured at Green Roof Quarters, where the robbers collected peoples gadgets through the windows while residents were asleep.
The incident is said to have occured on Friday night and caused a scare amongst staff members that reside in the quarters.
Oasis Magazine gathered that two of the victims are very senior lecturers (name withheld) in the institution.
Sources from the university told Oasis Magazine that the university authority was on top of the matter, saying security has been beefed to prevent a reoccurrence.

One of the victims when contacted refused to speak on the incident, but said that information at his disposal showed that the university’s management has responded and ensuring that such robberies are prevented next time.
Last night, security vehicles with sirens were seen patrolling the area to scare away criminal elements.
