Bishop Festus Nwafili Pays Courtesy Visit to Ukwuani Council Boss

The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Council, Hon Barr. C.S.P Ajede has affirmed that his second tenure is for God and his people first.

The Council Boss made this known in his office during the Courtesy visit by the Bishop of Ndokwa Diocese,Rt. Revd Festus Uzoka Nwafili, flanked by Ven. Frank Emeni, the Vicar in charge of St. Thomas Anglican Church Umutu,while commending the Bishop for coming to congratulate and pray with him.

Hon. Ajede also emphasized the importance of implementing policies and ideas in order to address governance issues that have prompted youths unrest.

He acknowledged the need to provide tangible benefits to the communities recognizing that the failure to act on policies that benefits the people by those in power has fueled discontent among the youths across the nation, leading to call for improved governance through potential protest he stated.

In his response, Rt. Revd Festus Uzoka Nwafili congratulated the Executive Chairman on his victory and expressed his gratitude to God that Hon. C.S.P Ajede was returned back to the council as a result of his good works.

The Bishop enjoined the Executive Chairman to put God and Ukwuani people first and deliver the mandate given to him.

Rt. Revd Festus Uzoka Nwafili also informed the. chairman of his one year Episcopal anniversary which coincided with the 2024 synod holding at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Umutu.
