NASS To Pass Law For INEC To Conduct Council Polls

Bashir Ahmad former Special Assistant on Digital Communications to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has said that a law will soon be passed that allows the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be saddled with the responsibility of conducting council elections in the states.
He said this in a post on X on Monday.

He wrote: “A Senator from Kogi has announced that the National Assembly will pass a law to ensure that INEC is responsible for conducting elections for local governments.”
According to the former presidential aide, this is “an excellent move from the National Assembly.”
