SWEF Urges Government To Provide Economic Opportunities To Women

Sweet has urged the government to provide women with expanded economic opportunities and promote their active participation in decision-making processes at all levels to drive meaningful change in society.
The President of Southern Women Empowerment Forum (SWEF), Dr. Helen Adebakin, gave the assertion on Saturday during the inauguration of the Southern Women Empowerment Forum, Enugu State Chapter’s State and Local Government Executives, and the empowerment of ten women.
In her opening remark, she thanked His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Executive Governor of Enugu State, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support for initiatives aimed at women’s empowerment.
“Your progressive outlook sets a commendable example for others across the nation”, she added.
She maintained that SWEF’s commitment to investing in women and accelerating progress towards a more equitable and sustainable future for all remains unwavering, thereby urging participants to actively participate in the discussions, sharing their valuable insights and recommendations.

She emphasized that building bridges and empowering women, talks about taking reflective actions and building the ability to identify exactly what needs to be the focus in creating a brighter tomorrow for Nigerian women.
“Wherefore SWEF is dedicated to uplifting and empowering women in the southern region, enabling them to achieve their full potential and contribute to the development of their communities”.
“We envision a future where women are active participants in decision-making processes, have access to quality education and healthcare, and are free from all forms of discrimination and violence”, she maintained.
“As we look forward to continuing our work here, we are deeply encouraged by the partnership and support we have found in Enugu State. We are excited about the future and the valuable contributions we will collectively make towards a more inclusive and empowered community”, she noted.
