The appointment followed the killing of Hamas Foreign Chief, Ismail Haniyeh in Iran’s capital Tehran.
Times investigation revealed that Haniyeh was killed by an explosive device hidden in a heavily guarded
complex where he was known to stay in Iran.
Hezbollah, therefore, said in a statement on Wednesday that “Al-Sinwar’s appointment as head of Hamas
political bureau is proof of Israel’s failure.
“Israel has not been able to achieve its goal — the killing of Hamas leaders and functionaries.”
“With al-Sinwar’s appointment, Hamas is also sending strong message to Israel and its allies, as Hamas remains steadfast and united in its decisions.
“It will continue on the path of resistance and struggle.”
