Police Arrest Female Drug Dealer In Afiesere Community, Recover Illicit Drugs

A Special Squad of the Delta Police Command has arrested a suspected female drug dealer (Name withheld) in Afiesere communiity, Ughelli North Local Government area of Delta state.

The female drug dealer was arrested in Afiesere communiity following an information that she has been on the drug business over the years with a cover up of other businesses.

A reliable source who spoke on the ground of anonymity said the suspected female drug dealer has long been involved in this alleged illicit drug business in the community until she was recently arrested.

It was learnt that during the arrest of the suspected female drug dealer, men of the Nigeria Police in a thorough search alleged to have recovered different types of illicit drugs, which include Tramadol, Codeine, Cannabis and other hard drugs in her store.

The source had also revealed that prior to her arrest the leadership and the entire Afiesere community had embarked on a sensitization and peaceful protest against illicit drug dealers and buyers within the community and the negative impact on the youths.

All attempt to contact the Ughelli Area Commander, ACP Shaba Aliyu was on successful but a police source who spoke on the ground of anonymity confirmed the arrest but said the issue is being handled at the police headquarters, Asaba, Delta state.
