Oborevwori To Flag Off N39.3Bn Otovwodo Flyover Project Monday In Ughelli North – Bureau DG
…Says Project Part Of A Broader N230Billion Gov’t Infrastructure Package
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Monday January 12, perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the N39.3 billion Otovwodo Flyover Project in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
The Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.
He said the project contractor, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has already mobilised to site in preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony of the 1.007 kilometres flyover.
Dr. Oghenesivbe further explained that the Otovwodo Flyover Project is part of a broader N230 billion infrastructure development package initiated by the Oborevwori administration, designed to ease severe traffic congestion across the state, including the busy Asaba–Ughelli Road, enhance commercial activities, improve traffic flow, and add significant aesthetic value to Ughelli metropolis.
He assured that the contractor known for high standard project delivery would deliver the flyover in line with international best practices through the deployment of modern, state-of-the-art construction equipment and materials.
The state government has urged invited guests, party leaders, and senior government officials to be seated on or before 9:45 a.m. on Monday, January 12, at the project site in Otovwodo, Ughelli North, ahead of the flag-off ceremony.
