The Sheyi Money Foundation (SMF) has announced a major upgrade to its flagship Sheyi Endowment Prize, set to feature prominently during the 18th Convocation Ceremony of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, holding from April 24 to May 2, 2026.

Building on the success of its 2025 debut, the 2026 edition introduces a bold expansion designed to deepen academic impact, reward excellence, and strengthen institutional collaboration within the University community.

Key Highlights of the 2026 Endowment Initiative

– ₦2.2 Million in Student Awards
The top three graduating students in the Department of Geology will receive:
₦1,000,000 (1st Prize), ₦700,000 (2nd Prize), and ₦500,000 (3rd Prize)

– ₦500,000 Department Development Grant
To support academic advancement within the Department of Geology

– ₦500,000 Strategic Support for Alumni-Driven Initiatives
Reinforcing collaboration between alumni and the University

– Institutional Recognition Awards
Honoring leadership and contributions to academic excellence
