NDC, Kwankwansiya Movement Meet To Resolve Internal Party Tensions In Kano

A delegation of the national leadership of the Kwankwansiya Movement on Monday night held a closed-door meeting with the national leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, and other top party officials.

The meeting was convened to address and resolve ongoing issues between the Kwankwansiya Movement and legacy officials of the NDC in Kano State, Osa Director Esq, National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, added in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Senator Dickson and the NDC leadership are mediating the process to promote inclusion and ensure broader participation of all party members. It reaffirmed that the party will not impose candidates in Kano State or any part of the country, stressing its commitment to internal democracy.

The discussions, which lasted several hours, were described as productive.

The party further clarified that it has not released any official results of its primary elections in any state, urging the public and party members to disregard any lists currently in circulation.
