University Of Africa Honours Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown At 5th Public Lecture

The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences at the University of Africa, Toru-Orua on Friday honoured the member representing Sagbama Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown, during its 5th Public Lecture, where she served as the Mother of the Day.

The lecture, themed “Nexus Between Triple Helix and Local Content: The Role of the Academia,” brought together academics, students, policymakers and other stakeholders to examine how collaboration among academia, industry and government can accelerate development through local content.

In her remarks, Hon. Ndiomu-Brown said she was proud to identify with the university community and commended the institution for creating a platform to discuss issues critical to national development.

Speaking on the lecture’s theme, the lawmaker stressed the need for stronger collaboration among academia, industry and government, noting that such partnerships are essential to unlocking local content opportunities and driving sustainable development in Bayelsa State and across Nigeria.

She urged scholars and researchers to continue conducting impactful research, fostering innovation and developing practical solutions to local challenges.
