Ndokwa Women In Politics Name Ajede Patron As Council Boss Reaffirms Commitment To Women’s Empowerment

The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Barr. Solomon Possible Ajede, PhD, has been named Patron of Ndokwa Women of Peace in Politics in recognition of his leadership and commitment to inclusive governance.

The honour was conferred during a courtesy visit by members of the group to the chairman’s office, led by Barr. Mrs. Omude N. Ochonogor. The delegation said the organization was established to promote peace, unity, gender equality and the active participation of women in governance and politics.

According to the group’s leader, the organization is committed to encouraging peaceful political participation while advocating equal opportunities for all, irrespective of gender. She commended Ajede’s people-oriented administration and his willingness to engage stakeholders in the development of Ukwuani Local Government.

The women expressed confidence that his leadership would continue to create an enabling environment for women to contribute meaningfully to governance and community development.

In appreciation of his support for peace, equity and grassroots development, the group unanimously conferred on Ajede the position of Patron, describing him as a leader who exemplifies fairness, accessibility and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.

Responding, Ajede thanked the group for the honour and pledged his continued support for initiatives that promote peace, inclusiveness and the empowerment of women. The visit ended with the presentation of the patronship honour, goodwill messages and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
