Uvwie Agog As WANAWANA Project Holds Inaugural Stakeholders’ Meeting

Uvwie, Delta State — August 20, 2026

Uvwie was agog on Thursday as the WANAWANA Project held its inaugural stakeholders’ meeting, bringing together Delta Central Coordinators across the 85 wards, Local Government Coordinators and Women Leaders in a strategic gathering focused on unity, grassroots mobilisation and victory ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting was hosted by the Labour Party Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Olorogun Dr. Mrs. Onome Bernice Dema, who reaffirmed her commitment to building a stronger, united and prosperous senatorial district.

Declaring the ceremony open, the Director-General of the WANAWANA Project Campaign Organisation, Triple Chief Tiro Prince Aruegodore, charged coordinators and stakeholders to remain committed, united and fully prepared for the task ahead.

Also present at the event was the Labour Party candidate for Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency, Hon. Maxwell Onyeka, who expressed confidence in the strength of the movement and the prospects of victory for the party.

The WANAWANA Project, founded and championed by Olorogun Dema, has commenced operations across Delta Central with a mission to mobilise the people, strengthen grassroots participation and promote a new vision of purposeful representation.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to celebrate Delta Central culture and unity, with colourful Ejogwha dance performances and an energetic WANAWANA Women Dance adding excitement and cultural splendour to the event.

With coordinators, women leaders and grassroots stakeholders actively engaged, the gathering underscored the project’s determination to work, mobilise and deliver victory for the Labour Party.

The group pledged to work hand-in-hand with the Labour Party and other committed stakeholders towards the emergence of Dema as the next Senator representing Delta Central.
