Costly Mistake! DELSU Lecturer Dies After Drinking Kerosene By Dafe Rukevwe
Reports reaching our newsroom show that a Senior Lecturer with Sociology Department in Delta State University, Abraka, Dr. Stephen Oshevire Ofotukun has passed on.

According to information made available to Oasis Magazine (OM), the said lecturer died after drinking kerosene from a gallon kept in his kitchen, thinking the content was water.
OM also gathered that the deceased until the time of his death suffered from stroke.
Torrents of tearful condolence messages have since been pouring in for Late Dr. Ofotokun.
Describing the deceased as amiable, the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Christian Ewhrudjakpor opined that Ofotukun was a committed colleague.

On his part, the Head of the Department of Sociology and Psychology Department, Dr. Benedict Akpomuvie said that the deceased lecturer was very friendly and dedicated to any assignment given to him.
He added: “The department will miss his amiable character.”

Ofotukun is survived by a wife and many children.
