The management of Delta State University, Abraka, has said that the threatening of lecturers by students on social media and other platforms is worrisome.
During a recent management meeting, a decision was reached that henceforth, any student found guilty of threatening any lecturer through any social media platform would be expelled, pending the review of staff and students’ regulations.
This information was contained in an official bulletin released recently by the university’s Public Relations Division of the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
The university management noted that “there was a need to incorporate a law and penalties in the students’ Handbook to forestall acts bothering on students threatening lecturers.”
