The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), Delta State Branch, under the leadership of Amaihunwa Kingsley Ph.D, State Chairman of the association, has congratulated His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State, over his victory at the gubernatorial polls conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the weekend in the state.
In a press statement made available to Oasis Magazine (OM), AMLSN said the victory was merited, adding that Deltans spoke loud and clear with one voice on the 9th of March, 2019, to renew Governor Okowa’s mandate and enable him continue his good works of promoting peace and unity.
The association added: “The second term of the governor will enable him carry on with his noble strides in the areas of infrastructural development, education, sports, health and construction of good road networks.
“Governor Okowa has shown a lot of capacity and we believe strongly that his second term will bring about a stronger Delta.”
To the All Progressives Congress (APC) guber candidate, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, they urged him to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship, saying that “in any contest there must be a winner and also a loser.”
AMLSN called on Chief Ogboru and his supporters to join hands with the governor to move the state forward.
