Buhari Sends Condolence Message To Bishop Kukah Over Mother’s Death
President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Bishop of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Janet Abashen Kukah.
Mama Dada, as she was fondly referred to, died in the early hours of Friday in Kaduna at 86, Nation reports.
The President, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, prayed for the repose of her soul.
“President Muhammadu Buhari extends heartfelt condolences to the Most Rev Matthew Hassan Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, on the passing of his mother Janet Hauwa Kukah.
“The President also commiserates with members of the family of Kukah, praying Almighty God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest,” the statement said.
